España Mágica is an English and Spanish partnership that was established in 2004 to help you, our clients, enjoy finding and purchasing your dream home here in Spain. It starts here with the Web Site and we hope that we have created a very user friendly site which enables you to easily find what you are looking for. Our Company aim and, the way we want to differ from other companies, is to not only find you a property but, also show you how beautiful and cultural our region is and hopefully eventually help you integrate into this very typical Spanish community after you have bought your property.

We are situated in the popular town of Villena, just 35 minutes inland from Alicante Airport. This short drive takes you away from the somewhat crowded and developed coastline and brings you inland to experience what the real Spain is all about. Here, you do not find the over developed urbanizations that fill the coastline, but vast rural areas of breathtaking natural beauty with cultural towns and stunning mountain top villages. Here you find warm and friendly Spanish people who try their best to help you fill at home in their country.

Our office is situated in the high street in the popular town of Villena. From here we are trying to create a positive public image and profile, again differing from being just a faceless internet company of which there are now so many. We hope this gives our clients a more secure feeling and that clients become our friends.

España Mágica is here to help you experience for yourself, the advantages of living away from the busy coastline and, we are committed to finding you a country house inland which meets all of your requirements. (If, of course, you decide that sea and sand are for you, then our affiliated company on the coast would be happy to show you any of the 250 houses they have - just let us know!). However, we are confident that you, as many are now doing, will fall in love with this beautiful and increasingly popular inland area !!!

Ian Haylett is the founding member of España Mágica. In 1991, after completing 14 years service working for the Bank of England in London, I decided to sell up in the UK and bought a Classic Yacht, MSY.Josephine-C, in the Gulf of St.Tropez in the south of France, to run a day charter business for tourists.

Dealing with clients and celebrities of every nationality on a daily basis was great fun and building a successful business in France, with all its Bureaucracy and anti-British feeling, was very gratifying. I worked closely with the French Film Commision and have been involved with the Yacht in a number of Television programmes in the UK, Holland, France and the United States (including Summer Holiday, A Place in France, Villa Felderhof, K9-5 Animal Planet and a number of photo shoots including Elle and Marie-Clare).
In 2002, while visiting some close friends on the coast near Alicante, I ventured inland to Villena, with its stunning scenery, warm friendly and hospitable people, fantastic cuisine. This visit sparked a new love-affair with Inland Spain and I immediately decided to buy a country house, set in one acre (4500m2) with an Olive orchard and mountain views, just outside of the town close to the popular mountain area of Peña Rubia and to live full-time here in Spain.

After having a successful business, which was built on a reputation for providing a fantastic service for all our clients, I now want to replicate this feeling for España Mágica. Moving to a new Country, or even new area within it, can be daunting - especially if you do not speak the language. The local Spanish people have made me feel so welcome here that life is a joy and it is with this feeling that I decided to form España Mágica to help other people settle here in this region without problems.

My Spanish team here in the España Mágica office, who are both English speaking and, were born here in Villena, know everybody, everywhere in every place!!
We believe its a winning combination which we hope can benefit all our clients. So please let me introduce you to:


Isabel López Ripoll, who prefers to be called Isa, was born in Villena in 1982 and has always lived here. Her studies took her to several colleges and institutes including "Nuestra Señora de los Dolores" and "Hermanos Amorós" both in Villena and "Cap de L ŽAljub" in Santa Pola on the coast. The shoe industry was an important local industry in Villena and her first year after finishing at the Institute in Santa Pola was spent working for a Local Shoe Manufacturer. She then spent a short time working for a local restaurant before joining España Mágica at the end of 2005. Isa, who is also English speaking, has an extensive knowledge of the local and surrounding areas and the local culture and customs!!
Her time so far in España Mágica has been learning about all aspects of the Spanish Property market and works closely with our legal advisor. She has established good relationships with all the local Bank Directors and is in a good position to offer advice on Bank Accounts and Mortgages. She liaises directly with all our clients, both English and Spanish and, assists many in problem solving.
